Prehistoric Pets, Inc. was started by Jim and Tony Alles in October of 1998. Our interest in reptiles began when we were children and slowly grew as time passed. This hobby developed into a dream of owning a reptile store. We started out with a business plan and a drive to succeed. Unfortunately, the banks we approached for loans felt the reptile business was a joke and we were unable to get funding. However, we never gave up on our dream and in 1998 we were able to purchase Prehistoric Pets in Chino from Jay Brewer. In August 2000, our current store manager, AJ Charlson joined our team. In July 05 Tony decided to leave the business to pursue other dreams and raise a family in Oregon. AJ, our store manager, began to take on new responsibilities since Tony left and has helped the store grow tremendously. By November 05 we completely remodeled our store and we are very proud of the results. Our team at Prehistoric Pets which consists of AJ, Jordan, Chris, and Randon is the most knowledgeable group of people I have ever worked with. There isn’t a single question this group cannot answer and they are always available to help. We have a lot of plans for the future and are expecting to open a second location soon.
